AIG and OIC set up special service counter in Chiang Rai For rapid Earth Quake Claims Services

May 8th: Bangkok – AIG Thailand Group will set up a temporary claims processing counter  as a result of the recent earth quake  incident in Chiang Rai.  Aim to provide fast and convenience services as a one stop service for impacted customers in Chiang Rai, the center of incident; the counter will be located in the provincial office of the OIC and it will be starting by May 12th.

Mr. Chailerk Jitkaew, Senior Vice President - Corporate Communication, AIG Thailand Group  said “with the 6.3 Richter magnitude earth quake in northern of Thailand last Monday, it damaged a number of building in Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai provinces. In order to provide fast  and convenience services to customers and agents in the area, AIG has  delegated a special team from Bangkok to be based in Chiang Rai to provide rapid one stop services. The team will  located in a corner of OIC, Chiang Rai branch”

“In past 3 days, we have got 59 cases contacted and reported for home damage, some cases for SME business. We believe some more will be coming since currently, our customers focus to their safety and trying to manage those affect to normal life. The home fixing is about to come but as second priority. Hence, to support and bring them back to normal life condition as fast as possible, we decide to send a team to be there. Our team is comprised of 2 loss adjusters and 5 Claims surveyors. This mean we can log the cases and send the surveyors to visit the site very soon. In many cases, we should be able to pay claims check within a week. This is the time to demonstrate what insurance can do to help people during crisis.”   Mr. Chailerk said.
